Assessing the interactive effects on N addition and climate change on soil processes through the biological soil crust in Mediterranean ecosystems

Collaborations

Med-N-Change has synergies with other research projects working to mitigate the effects of climate change in Mediterranean ecosystems. For that reason, we established a long term collaboration to contribute to our common goals. Our main associated research projects are SOILdarity and Real Tune, which have been funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 and FP7 research and innovation programmes, respectively. SOILdarity is a consortium made up of four partners, located in Portugal, Belgium and Israel, that aims to develop strategies to integrate soil ecology with cutting-edge soil and crop sensors, modelling and system-control-technologies for sustainable soil management. Real Tune was focused on investigating the mechanisms of nitrogen tolerance and sensitivity in lichens. We are working on joining forces to more efficiently pursue our goals. The following video shows our main working domains.
